The Society

The society was founded in 1998, one year after the establishment of Linguistics Department, by a group of enthusiastic and insightful students bearing the zeal of serving their fellows. With the relentless effort of ten previous generations of executive committee members, numerous successful academic activities were organized.

The purposes and aims of our society are as follows:

  • To promote the complete organization and unity within the Society.
  • To promote the general welfare of the members.
  • To promote the better understanding among members and the teaching staff of the Department.
  • To represent the interests of all members.
